Juan Carlos Lozano is an Airline Transport Pilot flying for Iberia Airlines (Spain) as a Senior First Officer in the Airbus A330/A340 fleet. As a professional pilot he has accumulated more than 10,000 flight hours in different types of airplanes like the Fairchild Metro III/23, Cessna Citation V Ultra, McDonnell-Douglas MD87/88 and the Airbus A320 family.He is an IFALPA Accredited Aircraft Accident Investigator and holds a Certificate in Aviation Safety & Security (University of Southern California).He is member of the ICAO Safety Management Panel since 2011. This panel was assigned the task of developing of the new ICAO Annex 19th and related guidance material. He was also advisor to the IFALPA Representative at the ICAO Safety Information Protection Task Force (SIP-TF).COPAC (Spanish Guild of Commercial Pilots) designated Juan Carlos as Safety & Technical Expert in 2012.In 2010 he was elected Chairman of the Accident Analysis & Prevention Committee of IFALPA 2010. He served in the position of Chairman until 2014.Between 2012 and 2014 he was member of the European Aviation Safety Advisory Committee (EASAC).He has actively participated in the Flight Data Working Group at the European Cockpit Association (ECA) and in the SMS Expert Committee at the Spanish State Safety Agency (AESA).He has held the positions of Technical Director, International Affairs Director and IFALPA Director at the Spanish Airline PilotsТ Association (SEPLA).Since 2014 he is collaborating with The Aloft Group as a Flight Operations & Safety Management expert in specific projects.He is 49 and in Madrid (Spain) with his wife and son.
